Three New Customized Dials for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic
Jaeger-LeCoultre is expanding their customizable watch collection with three new Reverso Classic dials.
Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the Atelier Reverso program in 2016 to offer customizable watches and to allow buyers to build a watch that fits their style and personality. In one year, the Atelier Reverso program has expanded to include seven watch models with 49 dial variations and 800 strap options. However, the Atelier Reverso program has only included women’s watches — up until now.
As of April 2017, Jaeger-LeCoultre has launched their first customizable men’s watches. The watch in question is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classic Large Duo Small Second, and the brand has created three new unique dials that can be mix and matched according to buyer preference.
The three dials include Electric Blue, Military Marble, Tiger’s Eye.
-- The Electric Blue dial, with a Clous de Paris pattern, is most similar to the traditional Jaeger-LeCoultre dials; however, this dial features an incredibly vibrant blue color.
-- The Military Marble dial offers a matte green dial with a green marble backdrop. The green marble pattern is reminiscent of a camouflage pattern.
-- The Tiger’s Eye dial features horizontal stripes in varying shades of brown and gold. The stripes are not perfect horizontal lines, instead they blend together to create a stone-like effect.
Because these watches are part of the Reverso collection, buyers can swap between two alternative dials. The front dial features brushed finishing, guilloche decoration, and a small seconds indicator. The dial that can be customized, the reverse dial, features the second time zone and day/night indicator.
However, customization doesn’t just end with the dial. Buyers can choose from a variety of strap options, including calfskin, alligator leather, ostrich leather, and satin. Buyers are also not limited to one strap; Jaeger-LeCoultre has developed a simple hand release so that the strap can easily be replaced with another. Even the buckle is easily interchangeable.
The Reverso Classic Large Duo Small Second comes in a 47mm x 28.3mm x 10.3mm stainless steel case. This watch is powered by the manually-wound caliber 854A/2 which beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a 42-hour power reserve. The watch is water resistant up to 3 bar.
As for price, the watch starts at $8,400; however, the price of customized pieces will vary depending on dial and strap selection. You can create your customized watch at a Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique or on the company’s mobile app.
